James C. Dean
President
As President, James oversees all aspects of the Company. James brings a solid mix of
development, reduction to practice, and business management skills to ZanAqua.
Prior to joining the Company in 2008, he was president of PERCEPTIVE Technologies,
a product development and consulting engineering firm. Prior to that, he was the
president of Synergy Research Corporation, a product development and consulting
engineering company. James also held various management and engineering
positions at Boeing Military Airplane Company and Boeing Defense & Space Company,
divisions of The Boeing Company. At Boeing Defense & Space, he served as deputy
manager of Boeing’s Space Station Freedom Program and oversaw all verification test
activity. He has extensive experience with Federal Small Business Innovation Research
(SBIR) programs and has developed innovative propulsion and surface preparation
(water droplet impact) technology with SBIR funding. In addition, he has developed fluid
dispensing systems for aqueous bioassay fluids and high viscosity fluids.
James holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from University of Minnesota and an MBA
from Plymouth State University.
