White Paper: ZanAqua Treatment of Produced Water - October 2, 2012:

Abstract:
This paper highlights the ability of ZanAqua’s vapor compression distillation (VCD) technology to successfully separate clean distillate from produced water (water generated during natural gas or oil production). Test data show that the Company’s proprietary technology recovers a substantial portion (~90%) of clean water from various contaminated water sources. This paper compares ZanAqua’s distillate water quality to EPA standards (for potable water) to demonstrate the Company’s VCD technology achievement and that distillate may be reintroduced into the local watershed environment.

White Paper: ZanAqua Biological Testing - April 29, 2009:

Abstract:
This paper highlights the ability of ZanAqua’s vapor compression distillation (VCD) technology to successfully inactivate and separate biologics from contaminated influent water so as to generate clean distillate. ZanAqua demonstrated 7 log reduction (99.99999% reduction) of e. coli and confirmed that all biologics had been inactivated.

Case Study: Treating High BOD at a Bottling Plant - June 9, 2009:

Abstract:
This paper reports on the success of ZanAqua’s vapor compression distillation (VCD) technology at separating organics (resulting in high Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD)) from process waste water at a carbonated soft drink (CSD) bottling company. The goal was to demonstrate that the bottler could then discharge clean distillate to the local municipal waste water treatment facility. The success criterion was to have the ZanAqua VCD system produce distillate that met or exceeded (i.e., was substantially less than) local municipal discharge limits for organics.

White Paper: Definition and Measurement of BOD - November 7, 2008:

Abstract:
BOD is the amount of oxygen consumed by microorganisms as they degrade organic compounds in an aqueous waste stream. It was initially intended as a practical method for anticipating the effects of primarily sewage wastes that are added to natural water sources like rivers and lakes.
